Every airport and landing site poses a different set of challenges, such as airport infrastructure, weather phenomena, surrounding terrain, ground handling, which may increase the risk of your operation.

It is important for operators to be aware of the risks that may impact their daily operation in order to implement adequate and efficient safety controls. The objective of the Airport and Flight Risk Module is to support you in determing operational risks in the airports you serve. After the completion of checklists, relevant risk factors are assessed and the operational risk is automatically calculated. Furthermore, a risk analysis for single flights (FRAT) can be performed based on airports and actual flight data.


In order to reduce the workload of your Operations Control Center when assessing airports, basic airport data, such as fire fighting category, runway information etc., can be directly imported from AC-U-KWIK. This avoids time-consuming searches for relevant airport information, making the Airport & Flight Risk Module your one-stop risk assessment tool. Easy to read results help the Operations Control Center to decide whether an operation to a new airport can be performed at an acceptable risk level. Additionally, for each analyzed airport/landing site, the category (A, B and C) is determined in accordance with AMC 1 ORO.FC.105 (b)(2) and similar requirements. These results can be used as a briefing tool to provide your flight crews with an efficient document that describes operational limitations and summarizes all readily available airport data. You can even display your uploaded pictures directly within the airport briefing to emphasize any pictorial information.

In cooperation with a leading helicopter operator, the Flight Risk Module has also been customized to the specific needs of this industry. To comply with OGP standards, the flight crew can perform flight risk assessments before departure. The head office receives all information in real time to ensure an effective internal risk management.
