Every airport operated to has different threats which might become risks – e.g. weather phenomena, terrain, service provided … It is essential for every operator to be aware of the risks which might influence the daily operation. With the Airport Risk Module of IQSMS, the risk of the operation to all airports of the route network can be determined easily.
With a standardized process, all risk factors are determined and the operational risk is calculated for the operator. With easy to read results, the Operations Control Center can easily determine if to a new airport can be operated to or not. Additionally, for all airports analyzed, the Airport Category (A, B and C) is automatically determined in accordance to AMC OPS 1.975 (2). With the extension of the module, the Flight Risk Module, risk analysis for single flights can be performed what facilitates the decision if flights can be accepted to be operated or not.
